PHASE 1 |

All clubs
will be required to provide up to 4 birds in every colour class provided for in
the National Matrix, for the |
|
|
corresponding year that they are entering a team. |

All birds
selected in club teams must be available to represent their Zone at the National
Competition. |

Ø
|
All birds
in the SQCC Show will be judged from 1st to 10th place with the view to them
meeting the required |
|
|
standard on the day. |

|
Ø
|
All 1st
placings will be given a trophy and certificate, and 2nd to 10th placed birds
will receive a certificate. |

Ø
|
Classes to
be judged by 1 judge, 2 classes at the same time. |
| |

Ø
|
All birds
in the top 10 placings will receive points in descending order from 10 to 1.
|
| |
|
These points will be awarded to the club that the bird represents and will go
towards tile Vic Andrews Memorial |
|
Shield, which will be won by the club
obtaining the most cumulative points. |

PHASE 2 |
| |
S.Q.B.B.A. ZONE TEAM SELECTION
|
| |
|
3 SELECTORS WILL BE USED TO SELECT THE ZONE TEAM. |
| |
| The Zone team will be selected at the completion of individual colour
class judging, while the birds are still on the judging
|
| staging.
|
| |
| During colour class judging The Zone Team Selectors will be allowed
access to the judging annexe. |
| |
| They may in no way influence colour class judging and no verbal or
written communication between the colour class |
| judges and selectors will be
allowed. |
| |
| During the selection of the team the selectors may converse with the team
preparers as to the Suitability of a particular |
| bird,; i.e. whether or not a
bird can be prepared to a suitable Standard to be competitive at a National
level, bearing in |
| mind that the selectors have 5 days within which to prepare
the birds for show presentation. |
| |
| The Zone Team Selectors will be required to select 3 birds in each colour
class to represent the Zone. |
| |
| A 1st and 2nd reserve bird will also be nominated. |
| |
| The reserve birds must be
made available for selection if required. These
birds are to be held by the exhibitor, unless an |
| exhibitor who resides in excess
of 80 klms from the holding aviary chooses to leave the reserve bird at the
holding aviary. |
| If the exhibitor
chooses to hold the reserve, he / she must be prepared to bring the bird to the
holding aviary if it is |
| required. All
birds not in the three, team birds, must be returned to their owner on the day
prior to the team leaving for |
| the competition. Exhibitors must pick up their own birds. |
| |
| The reserve bird will only be considered for team selection if the team
preparers feel that one of the three team birds is
|
| sick, badly out of condition,
injured or dies.
|
| |
| The three birds selected to represent the South Queensland Zone will
receive a Trophy and a certificate. |

RULES |
| |

VENUE; At a venue to be decided by the
S.Q.B.B.A. Committee. |
| |
|
|
No birds
will be allowed on the premises unless part of an affiliated club team. |

ENTRIES;
SQBBA Affiliated clubs will be sent an invitation in February to participate in
the SQCC and
|
|
|
National Preselection shows to be held on the same day. Replies of acceptance must be in the hands of the
|
|
|
SHOW MANAGER by April
1st.
|

|
All clubs participating will be
required to pay an entry fee of $25 Entry fee is payable at the time of
acceptance of |
|
invitation. |
| |
|

RINGS;
All birds entered in the show must bear the rings, with the appropriate ANBC
symbol, from the |
|
|
previous year; i.e. show year 2001 the ring will be
2000. |
| |
|
Only one ring per bird. No
plastic/metal split rings are permissible. Non adherence to this Rule means |
|
disqualification. |
| |
|

RECLASS CATION;
A bird wrong classed in the Championship Show will not be reclassified, but will
be |
|
|
eligible for South Queensland team selection in it's
correct class at the discretion of the show manager and his / her |
|
|
committee. |
| |
|
Ø
|
STAGING;
All teams must be presented for staging by 8.30 a.m. on the day of the show. The team must be |
|
|
entered as a complete team, no late arrivals will be
accepted, except in exceptional circumstances. |
| |
|
All clubs must nominate 2
members to act as stewards on the day of the show. These nominations should be given |
|
with the acceptance of invitation. |

SHOW
CONDUCT; Any person conducting themselves in a manner detrimental to the
orderly running of the |
|
|
show will be asked to leave the show hall. |
|
Any disputes may be referred to
the Show Manager and his/her Committee. |
| |
|
Ø
|
JUDGING;
The judges decision will be final in all matters of merit. |
|
The judging of the SQCC show
will be conducted as a separate entity to the selection of the Zone team. |
|

HENS CLASS; Hens not required in the
irrespective colour classes on completion of judging, may, if the selectors |
|
see be included in the hen class for selection., if it may be advantageous to the
ZONE TEAM. |

Ø
|
CATERING; Catering will be undertaken by SQBBA affiliated
clubs in alphabetical order. Any
clubs outside a |
|
|
radius of 80klms from the Brisbane CBD may decline to cater if
this poses difficulties for their society. |
| |
|
Ø
|
TEAM DISPLAY; On completion of colour class selection, the
three birds selected for the Zone Team will be |
|
|
placed on separate staging for
viewing by the exhibitors and public. Viewers
must remain at least 1 meter from the |
|
|
birds while viewing. |

|
NO FLASH PHOTOGRAPHY ALLOWED
|
| |
|
Ø
|
REMOVAL OF BIRDS; Teams may be removed from the staging following presentation
of trophies. |
|
Teams will not be checked out
until all staging has been taken down and hall swept and tidied. |
|
| |
The format for Zone Preselection and the National Show Preselection rules
may be reviewed Annually. |
